Since the inception of the college, the department is focussed on the academic development of the students and in nurturing in the scientific consciousness and attitude. After the inception of the department of Chemistry, the laboratories and classrooms have been built with adequate space, which is considered to be a pre-requisite criterion of a lab-based subject. The department caters to the demands of the students both intensively as well as extensively.
